Remax RM-565i

Remax RM-565i

| 6 mm MicroDriver |

? The Remax RM-565i has an amazing design in an extraordinary small size housing. Inside the housing there is small 6mm dynamic driver; usually called microdriver. On photos you may get the wrong idea that they have a standard size, instead they are much smaller than they seem on photos.

they are much smaller than they seem on photos

The RM-565i are all made of metal, from the housing to the microphone/control button.  The cable is tangle free and flat, the weight of the entire earphone is very light.

Remax sells the RM-565i in 3 different colours: black, white or red. The construction quality is great and far above the retail price.

Accessories & Packaging

Out of the box you get a soft pouch and 3 pairs of silicon eartips. Everything packed inside a medium sized black packaging. For some reason when you buy them you may either get the soft pouch or a much better semi-rigid protective case. Some sellers have the model with the pouch and others the one with the case.

B

Bass & Sub Bass

We do not expect a jaw dropping bass coming from such tiny 6mm microdriver of the Remax RM-565i. Mid bass adds warmth and enough bass presence for many genres. Sub-bass has a pretty respectable depth considering the size of the microdriver.

Trying to equalize will improve bass, mostly sub-bass gains more depth but mids get bloated and start muffling mid frequencies.

We were even more surprised seeing that the RM-565i gained a delightful depth on the sub-bass

Equalizing for basshead bass, amplifying with a Fiio E12 at high gain and bass boost on; the Remax RM-565i handled 45% of Fiio’s maximum power, we didn’t expect this much tolerance from that tiny dynamic driver. We were even more surprised seeing that the RM-565i gained a delightful depth on the sub-bass and mid-bass frequencies got more presence and cleared up noticeably too. Do not expect any type of basshead sub-bass rumble or impact, they just do not qualify as a basshead earphone.

M

Mids & Vocals

Mids sound recessed mostly on the lower mids, high mids are better defined and not as recessed. There are no signs of harshness at any time but overall mids and vocals feel lacking some more presence and life.

H

Highs & Treble

Highs are not recessed; the Remax RM-565i have a V-shaped sound signature (orientated mostly to bass and brightness with recession on mid frequencies). On sibilant-frequent songs you will clearly feel sibiliance peaks. Highs have definition and detail and will be a good choice if you prefer highs and are on a budget.

SL

Sound Leak

Sound leak is significant on the Remax RM-565i, using medium to high volumes will make your listening session public to people around you.

SI

Sound Isolation

Surrounding sounds get reduced noticeably but you will need to turn up the volume a little more than other earphones to reach the same noise reduction level.

C

Comfort

A beautifully tiny, light and well crafted design results in a perfectly comfortable earphone that does not lack construction quality either with the all metal material.

EQ

Response to Equalization

The 565i do not give a great response to custom equalization. Bass does gain punch & depth when eqed but playing with mids equalization does not improve much of them and sibilance of high frequencies does not disappear even going down 10dB or 15dB.
