The housings of the AWEI T8 TWS Sports Wireless Bluetooth Earphones have a combination of plastics and metal with the inner earpiece being of plastic and an outter shell of metal that toughens their build.

The earpieces hold a 50mAh internal battery that provides 2.5 hours of music playtime and it comes with a battery pack with a capacity of 700mAh that can charge the units on-the-fly.

This battery pack has also an USB output port that can be used to charge any device that charges through USB with 5V and 1.5A.

The AWEI T8 TWS Sports Wireless Bluetooth Earphones is compatible with Android and Apple devices.

Operation & Control

Each earpiece of the AWEI T8 TWS Sports Wireless Bluetooth Earphones has a single multi-function button on the rear plate, this button allows to:

• Press and hold: Power On
• Long press and hold: Set to pairing mode
• A single press: Play, Pause music
• Long press and hold while turned ON: Power off

LED Status Light: An oval-shaped LED light will blink red when the battery pack is getting charged and will stop blinking once fully charged. The earpieces, instead, will turn on red when charging and turn off when fully charged. The battery pack’s LED will light blue when the earpieces are attached to it and charging.

Charging: The earpieces are charged by attaching them to the battery case. If the battery case still has charge they will be charged automatically, if not, you will need to plug the pack to a USB charger.

Bass & Sub Bass

Bass on the AWEI T8 TWS Sports Wireless Bluetooth Earphones has shallow sub-bass (nearly none) and bouncy mid-bass. For normal listeners without much demands their bass style could fulfill some music genres where sub-bass is not being called.

Truly, AWEI has been honest about this by clearly specifying in the tech spec sheet that their frequency response starts at 100Hz.

Applying an EQ might add up a bit of extra punch but sub-bass is still absent.

Mids & Vocals

Mids of the AWEI T8 TWS do not suffer from noticeable mid-bass bleed, making their lower mids clear enough and male vocals non-congested but can sound a bit distant overall due to a recession of middle mid frequencies. Higher mids are crisp and a bit more pronounced than lower mids, which can risk to reduce some importance of male vocals. Harsh peaks are not an usual issue with these.

Using an EQ lower vocals can be brought forward but beware to not empower higher mids as they are already crisp and could risk to become strongly harsh.

Highs & Treble

The overall highs of the AWEI T8 TWS Sports Wireless Bluetooth Earphones are on the edge of darkness but offer some slight amount of brightness, still they do not resolve any detail.

Sibilance is not present but some piercing highs can arise at times.

An EQ substantially help out their highs in the brightness department, making them much better and getting away from dark sounding highs.
