As a matter of fact, despite being a much larger printer than others on the market, the Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus requires way less assembly steps, needing just to put together the top-arc with the main base unit and no over-complicated installation and alignment of rods, motors, belts, etc.

The Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus is the flagship 3D printer from the Ender-3 series and the model with the largest printing volume of the line, boosting the printing capacity to 300x300x330mm – the Creality Ender-3 V3 and Creality Ender-3 V3 SE sit as the small siblings of the bigger Ender-3 V3 Plus.

The only other 3D printer from the brand that can print as large as the Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus is the Creality K1 MAX – the Creality K2 Plus is the biggest of all, though.

Size-wise, despite being able to provide a much larger printing volume than the Ender-3 V3 (non-Pus) and K1 series, the Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus is just a bit larger than the Creality K1C and Creality K1 SE.

If you are less familiar with Creality’s line or you own some Elegoo printers, the Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus sits as a direct competitor of the Elegoo Neptune line, being the Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus the most similar in printing volume capacity.

Creality 3D printers share a similar aesthetic feel with the use of space-gray and black colors along the body of their machines; the Ender-3 V3 Plus inherits the same look and style, offering a coherently looking ecosystem for users that are building a setup with more than one Creality printer.

Moreover, the design of the Ender-3 V3 Plus shares the exact same character and fashion as the smaller Ender-3 V3 that we have reviewed in the past, thus offering a clean and smooth appearance with much less screws, rods and mechanical parts seen at bare sight.

Also, as with other machines of the Ender-3 V3 series, the V3 Plus uses a side-sitting spool holder that enlarges the footprint of the machine but provides an efficient, fluid and less mechanical-stressing placement.

This is a 4.3″ panel with capacitive touch tech and a noticeably more responsive performance than other touch screens seen on 3D FDM printers, 3D resin printers and also laser engravers.

In order to strengthen the build and ensure a solid, wobble-free operation, the Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus makes use of a metal frame, die-cast sections and aerospace aluminum alloy. This larger model of the Ender-3 V3 series includes additional support rods to stabilize the frame and z-axis.

Moreover, in order to provide a smooth and precise Y-axis movement of the big print bed, the brand has empowered the section with two strong motors that can offer as much as 1000mN.m of torque output.

Regarding the print head, the Ender-3 V3 Plus sports a direct-drive extruder, a 60W hotend and quick swappable nozzles (tri-metal); while the cooling process is taken care by the dual fans incorporated inside the printhead.

On top of that, the printer includes a flexible PEI bed sheet with magnetic attaching design and alignment guides so users can enjoy pain-free removal of prints, secure adhesion and fast, correct repositioning of the bed sheet.

The brand has also enriched the features of the printer by adding handy sensors and functions such as:

Unlike other direct competitors, the Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus holds inside a Wi-Fi chip, allowing to benefit from more advanced functions and control of the printer that include wireless communication with either Creality’s PC software or mobile app, for direct transmission of files, real-time control and visualization of the printing process, and parameters and even live-view of the printing task when paired with Creality Nebula AI camera (not included)

In addition to this, the printer also includes a USB-A port that can be used to connect USB disks with pre-sliced files and using the unit as a fully standalone machine.

PERFORMANCE

The CoreXZ nature of the Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus allowed the brand to include highly welcomed features like auto-tensioning belts and a fully-automated calibration, leveling, z-offset and input shaping. This auto-calibration provides users worry-free and error-free leveling and no longer having to go through the nerve-wrecking manual process of adjusting bed knobs, z-axis distances/offsets and dealing with calibration sheets.

The CoreXZ build of the Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus also proved that the different construction design approach benefits from stellar performance and accuracy while conserving remarkable print speeds of 600mm/s and acceleration of 20000mm/s2, despite the much larger size of its components needed to be moved through the axis.

In fact, the Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus, was able to conclude a full Benchy print test in shorter times than the ELEGOO Neptune 4 machines and, even, than the Creality K1C – completing the Benchy print in 14 minutes with no flaws, in comparison to the 17 minutes required by the Elegoo printer.

In addition to this, the PEI sheet presented flawless adhesion (even on full-sized and complex prints) and smooth removal of finished prints. In fact, we found ourselves needing to make use of a plastic scraper much less often than on other 3D printers and getting prints fully detached by simply bending the PEI sheet.

Getting the machine up and ready and achieving excellent print quality with no seconds attempts needed was joyful with the Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus thanks to the auto-calibration and automated functions of the printer.

Every single print test completed with the V3 Plus came out with no evident, typical print flaws, wrapping, stringing and never suffering from clogging, extrusion issues.
