JBL Synchros E10
| 9 mm Dynamic Driver |
? JBL Synchros E10, a budget model from JBL belonging to the Synchros line.
The JBL Synchros E10 features a 9 mm dynamic driver and a very light overall weight.
As you might see from it’s name the JBL Synchros E10 is part of the Synchros line among the:
- JBL Synchros S100
- JBL Synchros S700
- JBL Synchros S500
- JBL Synchros Reflect Aware
- JBL Synchros Reflect
Differently to the JBL E15 (that does not belong to the Synchros family), the JBL Synchros E10 has a fairly rugged plastic construction with a metal back plate.
The cable of the JBL Synchros E10 is flat and very rubberized with a style similar to the cable of the JBL T110, but thinner.

A
Accessories & Packaging
The JBL Synchros E10 unboxing results in 3 pair of eartips and a nice carrying case. Everything comes inside the typical JBL packaging, which is fairly small but nicely designed.
8.75/10
B
Bass & Sub Bass
The JBL Synchros E10 bass has strong mid-bass and deep sub-bass. Expect a style that will fulfill bassy listener’s needs but not as powerful as to become a basshead earphone. Their bass will never fall short while listening any type of music genre.
Applying an EQ, there is a very noticeable extra amount of depth and punch.
Putting the JBL Synchros E10 through out our extreme bass tests, they managed to take up to 45% of a Fiio amplifier maximum power (Fiio E12 Mont Blanc
, not A nor DIY edition) resulting in a crazy empowering of bass with mild basshead impact but not even near the Sony MDR-EX650, Beats urBeats, Sony MDR-EX800st
/ Sony MDR7550, Pioneer SE-CX8
.

M
Mids & Vocals
The JBL Synchros E10 mids have warm mids with noticeable mid-bass bleed that add some congestion to their lower mids. Male vocals sound somewhat alive but get affected by mid-bass bleed making them a bit distant. Higher mids are not forward not too rolled-off and tend to a laid-back tuning and non-harsh sound.
With an EQ male vocals are given much more importance and sound clearer but higher mids can risk to become harshy.

H
Highs & Treble
The JBL Synchros E10 highs have sufficient brightness for normal listeners but expect a clearly dark tint – regarding detail, they resolve little to none.
This rolled-off style grants them a non-fatiguing sound with only some sporadic sibilance.
An EQ gives an important addition of brightness and some detail.
7/10

SL
Sound Leak
The sound leaking out of the JBL Synchros E10 is almost absent which makes them nearly silent even at very high volume settings.
