? KINERA YH623, a true wireless earbud from KINERA, with accessible price.
The KINERA YH623 TWS features a tiny 6mm microdriver (a driver size that is usually seen on many current true wireless earbuds) and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connectivity.
In addition to this, each earpiece is equipped with touch sensitive rear panels that through out our tests proved to be responsive on most conditions.
The KINERA YH623 is part of the recent budget TWS available in the ChiFi world, like the KZ Z1 (coupon), VJJB V8, Auglamour AT-200, SABBAT E12 Ultra (coupon) or SABBAT X12 (coupon)
Despite the friendly price, each earbud of this KINERA TWS is fully made of metal but, still, does not feel weighty – at all.
Moreover, the brand has designed this model with a waterproof rating of IPX4, which will allow them to be well-adapted for sports and, due to their noise cancelling CV8.0 mics, this TWS will allow users to answer calls (note that this is not an ANC earphones despite the noise cancelling mics)
The color option of the KINERA YH623 that we are reviewing has beautiful aesthetics that appear much more premium than most true wireless earbuds in this price range. Yet, the case does not match the “refined” looks of the earpieces, with a more “standard” plain black finish and pebble-like form factor.
For people interested in further specs; each earpiece holds a 50mA internal rechargeable battery, while bundled charging/battery case carries a 400mA to grant many OTG full charge cycles for the eabuds – a full charge is estimated to take 1.5 hours.

Bass & Sub Bass
Despite the tiny diameter of it’s microdriver, the KINERA YH623 delivers a crazy powerful bass response.
Mid-bass provides a very exciting sound tuning with vast punch to match bass-intense genres with no issues. In spite of this, the KINERA does not get as bouncy as other punchy earphones.
Depth of it’s sub-bass is equally-tuned with a emphasized and strong profile that can get as deep as most bass-centered genres require.
This will be an earphones for listeners who like a bassy sound and who love a powerful, punchy profile.
If their OTB bass is not enough, users can apply an EQ and both sub-bass and mid-bass will show an even more intense response – making them capable of fulfilling modest-basshead abuse.

Mids & Vocals
The KINERA YH623 TWS have a very warm midrange with a full sounding personality that extends from their lower mids up to their upper mids.
This tuning, though, makes them show some congestion over male vocals and some part of their lower-pitched notes and probably far from being the cleanest output on the market – this is due to some mid-bass bleeding into the mid frequencies.
Upper mids and female vocals are sufficiently crisp yet warm and rarely harsh.
With an EQ, a fair amount of retuning will be possible with some improvement over congestion and their laid back male vocals while keeping the warm profile.

Highs & Treble
The KINERA YH623 TWS pighs present a darkish-styled sound signature that will be substantially less aggressive than most hybrid in-ear monitors.
On the other hand, as expected with this sound tuning, detail and spatial performance will not be impressive.
Their darker and more rolled-off highs, still, grant a less-piercing experience – yet is worth noting that some sibilance can show up.
Using an EQ, there will be an important incorporation of detail and some perceivable boosting of brightness but they will still have a darkish scent.

Sound Leak
The sound leaking out of the KINERA YH623 TWS is somewhat less hearable than on most average headphones.
This will allow owners to crank up the volume a bit further than the aforementioned, before they become too audible by nearby people.
Despite this, the KINERA will never become too hearable nor disturbing on any daily situations (except libraries)

Sound Isolation
The sound isolation provided by the KINERA YH623 TWS is way stronger than most normal headphones (if placed correctly).
This TWS will greet owners with a very noticeable isolation from the environment, even while no music is playing.
It important to note that to achieve their maximum isolation you have to be absolutely sure to be placing the earbuds as deep as possible

Comfort
The earpieces have a characteristic form factor and shapes that may make consumers doubt about their comfort.
Instead, KINERA did a fantastic job with the design and fit of these TWS earbuds; when placed in the ears and rotated until matching it’s perfect fit, the KINERA YH623 showed an extremely comfortable usage and a remarkably stable positioning that never risked to get loose.
In addition to this, the earpieces remain in-place when charging inside the case without wobbling nor loosing the charging connection – a frequent issue seen on other true wireless earbuds such as the KZ E10 and that happens sometimes on the KZ S1 and KZ S1D.

Response to Equalization
The response to EQ of the KINERA showed strong empowerment over bass frequencies but was enable to provide any drastic retuning over mids and/or highs.
