Yinyoo A8
| Dynamic Driver |
? Yinyoo A8, a highly affordable earphone from Yinyoo.
The Yinyoo A8 features a single dynamic driver configuration and non-detachable cables.
The cables have a helix design and a rubberized finish, with a style fairly similar to the cables of the KZ ZS4, BQEYZ BQ3, BQEYZ KC2, TFZ Series 2 and TRN V80.
The housings are made of plastic with construction materials somewhat inline with the KZ ZS3. The whole unit is very light and fairly small, in comparison with other earphones with this less-standard shape.
You can buy the Yinyoo A8 with or without the inline remote/mic.

A
Accessories & Packaging
The Yinyoo A8 unboxing results in 3 pair of eartips inside a packaging of rectangular shape and small size that is very similar to the one of the BQEYZ KC2, BQEYZ K2 and BQEYZ KB1.
6/10
B
Bass & Sub Bass
The Yinyoo A8 bass is energetic with a punchy profile and fairly deep sub-bass. Their lower end is tuned for fun and bassy listening sessions and will cover most music genres without any lack of bass.
It is fair to consider that the bass from the Yinyoo A8 is very bloated and invasive, though.
Applying an EQ, there is a huge empowering of their sub-bass and a strongly punchier mid-bass will also show up.

M
Mids & Vocals
The Yinyoo A8 mids have sufficiently crisp higher mids and a very warm tint. Very prominent and invasive mid-bass bleed is present that adds a strong congestion to their lower and middle mids. Nonetheless, their male vocals do not sound distant nor shy.
Harshness is not an issue with the mids of the Yinyoo A8.
Their mids are not horribly muffled, at all, but their congestion might not fit more demanding listeners – normal listeners might like the extra warmth touch added by it.
With the help of an EQ, their mids can offer cleaner lower mids and weaker mid-bass bleed. Higher mids can be tuned for a crispier response with only a slight amount of harshness.
6/10
H
Highs & Treble
The Yinyoo A8 highs are dark with a slight amount of brightness and resolve a slight amount of detail.
Their highs are very rolled-off and this causes this highs personality. To their benefit, this recession assures no piercing nor piercing peaks, at all.
An EQ can make their highs brighter and more detailed but the overall sound quality will not be very refined.
6/10

SL
Sound Leak
The sound leaking out is substantially low and will never be heard by nearby people on normally noisy city situations.

SI
Sound Isolation
The sound isolation provided by the Yinyoo A8 is noticeably stronger than most average earphones, providing a nearly absolute isolation with any volume setting above moderate.

C
Comfort
As you might appreciate from our photo in the “Packaging & Accessories” section, the cable of the right earpiece had the “buckle” turned sideways, this shape was nearly impossible to “fix” which remained sideways and cause some fiddling to properly fit it around the ears. Still, both cables were constantly popping-out and did not keep their place around the ears.
If the Yinyoo A8 did not suffer from this cable issue they would had scored way above 7/10 as their housings fit properly and comfortable in the ears.

Response to Equalization
The response to EQ was useful on mids but not as efficient for their highs.

✅Low sound leakage
✅Strong sound isolation
✅Light weighted
✅Remote/mic with 3 buttons and dedicated volume buttons
✅Cheap price
- ❌Dark highs
❌Congested mids
❌ Strong mid-bass bleed and upper bass that extends over all the midrange
❌Cable issues made them to pop-out of the ears (the cable, not the earpieces)
- The Yinyoo A8 can be acceptably good earphones but only for people on a very tight budget, who are not looking for bright highs nor clear mids and who prefer a bass-centered and very warm tuning.
